Lyrics

I was counting empty nights, one by one
Watching the sky till the daylight comes
Every wish I made just faded away
Like a half-spoken prayer I was scared to say

I thought the stars were too high above
Too far away for a heart like mine to love
Then the darkness cracked with a silver dove
And you came down like a falling star of love

For a moment, time stood still
Every doubt bent, to your will

You're a falling star of love
Lighting up my sky, just one look and I know why
I don't need forever, I don't need to know
If you're here right now, that's all I need to hold

Oh yeah, a falling star of love
Burning so bright, turning my shadows into light
If I only get this moment above
I'll spend it all on a falling star of love

I've seen bright things fade too fast
Heard sweet promises turn to past
I've learned to guard every fragile dream
Keep my hopes low and my edges clean

But you don't flicker, you don't pretend
You blaze your truth from start to end
Even if the night tries to pull you away
You've already changed me, come what may

If you're meant to rise or meant to fall
You've already given me more than all

You're a falling star of love
Lighting up my sky, just one look and I know why
I don't need forever, I don't need to know
If you're here right now, that's all I need to hold

Oh yeah, a falling star of love
Burning so bright, turning my shadows into light
If I only get this moment above
I'll spend it all on a falling star of love

Maybe you'll fade with the break of dawn
Maybe you'll stay when the dark is gone
Either way I'll always know
Some miracles don't move slow
You taught my heart how to rise above
Even if you fall, you're still love

You're a falling star of love
Clear and true
Every wish I had came through you
I won't ask for more than what you give
This shining moment is how I live, yeah
Falling star of love
Written in time across this heart of mine
If the sky goes dark and I'm dreaming of
I'll remember you
A falling star of love

Soft now
Make a way, make a way
